However, you can send your K-1 to your brokerage company and they'll determine if you need to pay taxes. The CPA is probably for a regular brokerage account. I owned KMP in a regular brokerage account until I realized that tax reporting for the Schedule K-1 is killer. I ended up paying a tax preparer $300 to work through all the additional tax forms! I haven't reviewed the ad to see if they replaced it with a new name, but it's always worth browsing at QuantumOnline.com if you're interested in finding MLPs or Royalty Trusts or other high dividend stocks.
