They would make money on it by developing a process to make it in medically recognized controlled doses, proving it works on actual alzheimers patients as described and without major side effects, and popularizing its use in the medical market.

There's a big diff between how much you can make selling doses with no recognized standardization to folks who are basically self-administering a compound with no US-recognized clinical trial efficacy evidence, and how much you can make once the medical establishment recognizes the thing. That's what NHPI is aiming for. (Thousands of years of Chinese medical history isn't considered "good" data for clinical trial purposes--I'm not commenting on that, just saying how it is.)

I have been following this stock for awhile, and I'm sorry to say that I suspect that the trial results will not be good when they are released. I'm no expert on clinical trials, but I did note that ther was going to be a patient evaluation at the 16 week mark. Families of alzheimers patients watch the patients very carefully, so I figured that if this were an effective drug, families would find a way to figure out what the drug was and start picking up shares of the company, which would cause a small rise in price. But the opposite happened. At what I figured was about the 16 week mark, (October if memory serves) the share price dropped and has gone steadily down. Not a good sign for NHPI.

I hope I'm wrong and it turns out to be a miracle cure.

Wait a minute. Huperzine-A is the name of a Chinese herbal concoction that is sold as a memory aid. I get mine from Pro Health. If you Google it, you will find a dozen places you can buy it. It is not expensive. How can this outfit make billions on it?
