I haven't been specifically looking at Canroys -- a lot of them are in real trouble with natural gas prices this low, but there may be some atractive opportunities. Interesting (negative) article on CanRoys and their future on seekingalpha: http://seekingalpha.com/article/107494-canadian-royal-trusts-will-never-return-to-their-former-glory?source=front_page_most_popular_articles

As I look at investments, the high-yield options are now so thick on the ground, including some very high yielding opportunities that seem a bit more predictable than CanRoys, if with lower dividends, that it's hard to justify dealing with collapsing natural gas prices and the uncertainty of how these companies will manage after the trust structure is effectively abolished with the Canadian tax law changes in a couple years.

Now that the prices have dropped and yields have gone through the roof, are you looking at Canadian income trusts again?

Dear Sirs,
My name is Sanches , I just signed up. I hope, I am posting in the right section, and I apologize in advance, if I posted in the wrong place,
please advise.
Early last year, I came across information about
investment funds, that are rarely published on
official investment resources. The yields, which participants could
receive by investing in such programs, appeared
surprisingly high at
first, but as I investigated more feedbacks about them, I began to make a lot of money. Guess what, today, I consider
myself as no less, but the successful
investor. My next step, is marketing field, so, I
set up the blog, which
shows detailed information
about selected programs. To see my
blog, <a href="http://WWW.FOREXS-INVESTMENTS.COM" rel="nofollow">click here</a>.
I would be happy to receive
user's feedbacks.

I bet they gave the Canadian Royalty Trust away since it would be perceived as "dirty" not to have mentioned the nature of its high yield. When looking at income investments, I view MLPs and Trusts as different animals due to the special tax treatment.

Best Wishes,
D4L
