Dear Gumshoe:
You do great work, so in support of this great community you have given life to, I wish to share some info that relates to the so-called 'forever battery' and the XDSL tout from Tim Fields et al.: Sanyo has developed a battery that is supposed to have a much longer shelf life (i.e. self-discharge problem) than conventional rechargeable NiMH batteries. It is called the 'eneloop' battery, and has been on the market for some time. It combines the benefits of dry cell technology and rechargeable capabilities. I use these batteries successfully in a digital camera, and long term users have reported excellent results. The chemistry of the new battery is described here:
http://www.eneloop.info/fileadmin/EDITORS/ENELOOP/ARTICLES/Teraoka_Article_EN.pdf
This is likely not the same technology being pitched in the teases, but given that XDSL stock price today hovers at a penny or so, most folks may be better off spending their dough on a pack of eneloops rather than a pump n dump stock play.

I also believe Altair Nano is in a better position with it's lithium titanate oxide battery technology. The US Navy wouldn't be so heavily involved if there wasn't something to it!

On April 8, XDSL hit $.14,,, as of 11:30a.m. 08/29/08 it sits at $.0540,,, Hmmm, NOW, might be a good time to get in, depending on the Financials, and one's ability to weather a volatile market,,, but a greater than 50% drop, since this write-up,,, Makes one wonder just where in the world this company is going~! My guess is, it has about bottomed out. The historical low has been $.04, and the historical High, in 1999, has been about $18.00,,, Worth a gamble?
