I live in Alberta and spend some time in Sask. The reason Quest oilsands has been so slow getting going is because of the natives. They are looking for a bigger piece of the action. In Canada we seem to cater to them much more than you do in the U.S. (to our and their detrement). La Loche(nearest town to Axe lake) is a native village and this is where the problems for Quest have always been.

I picked up BP in early April and it has had a nice 16% run. With all the hype that is out there, I am beginning to wonder if the oil stocks have peaked.

Best Wishes,

baguachaun, I'm not sure I understand your question. Buying ADRs is generally just like buying the shares of a company on a foreign exchange -- you get a share of the company, the ADR is not going to have a short run boom unless the company itself does. The only exception is that sometimes you do get a currency impact, either positive or negative -- so if the dollar falls dramatically in relation to the currency of the company's home country, the ADR will go up more to compensate for the fact that it now takes more dollars to buy a share of that stock in its home currency. I hope that makes sense. BQI is not an ADR, it's primary listing is in the US.
