Thanks Wayne — I’ve seen references to “Roanoke Roads”, too, though the Roanoke where LUNA has its HQ is the actual city of Roanoke, far west of Norfolk et al in the Virginia mountains. I think LUNA has at least one office down in the Tidewater area somewhere, so I suppose Georges can stretch the definition if he likes.

I was preadolescent when I left Norfolk back there in my antiquity; I did a quick Google Map search to get my thoughts straight. Roanoke Roads is a historic reference in seafaring. It is reasonable that the site would be adjacent to a city with the same name; however the cities are Newport News and Hampton to the North and Norfolk and Portsmouth to the South. I need another reference that does show the name “Roanoke Roads” and its location to be certain, but most likely.

the tidewater tides and roanoke are big minor league baseball rivals, that’s the only connection i know of, when it comes to roanoke and chesapeake. i live there. anyway, thanks gumman for your work.

There are better areas to invest than microcaps. IWC scores 0.47 out of 6.0. Just dismal.
