On the surface WISCO may also meet some of the clues, but this ad is absolutely teasing General Steel Holdings. GSI is the oldest private sector steel company (or their subsidiary is), WISCO was formed by the government and is still state controlled and considered a "state owned enterprise" as far as I know, though part of the company is also listed and trades publicly. It is older, but not "private sector".

Not to say WISCO isn't worth a look if that's what interests, you, just that the Motley Fool Global Gains folks aren't recommending it.

I think you may have missed this one.

Oldest steel company in China is Wisco (Wuhan Iron and Steel). Also, check Noble Group for Forbes Fab 50, they also say Wisco is "Consolidating some of its smaller rivals in the country's fragmented steel sector. Teaming up with other China steel majors to acquire iron ore assets abroad. It prospers by dominating its regional market in the booming West."

Looks as though this might be a good covered call candidate. With today's closing at about $13 and the Dec 17.50 call at around $2 there's potential for a % gain in the high 50's or buying in at a discount.

Thanks GumShoe. I always wondered what kind of stocks Bill Mann at the Global Gain was pushing.

GSI is a stock i've been watching since June 30'th.

down - 12.3% so far.
