What do you want to know? Technically, it's not an ETF, but a passive trust with one objective (holding gold bullion for its investors); and it trades like a closed end fund. Presently, it trades at a 4.5% premium; and it's somewhat overbought because the price of gold is overbought. I like buying it when it is announced that it is issuing more shares because the market treats it as though it is being diluted and the share price then plummets. (Check out the share price on January 9th and May 6th.) Actually, new shares are issued so that the fund can buy more gold, so it isn't diluting share value at all. Here's the website: http://www.gold-trust.com/

Does anyone know anything about the gold ETF, GTU, in Canada? It is nearly unknown, whereas everyone has heard of GLD. Is there a reason I shouldn't be in GTU?

I don't understand why people think gold would matter in an end of the world scenario. The only commodities that will really matter in that scenario are guns and ammo. Pray that it never comes to that!!!
