		<description>There are a couple others, too, from Tortoise and Kayne and one or two other shops.  Keep in mind that they&#039;re Closed End Funds, not ETFs -- they don&#039;t track an index, and many of them use leverage or other tactics other than simply holding the MLP shares.  There&#039;s also an ETN based on the Alerian MLP Index, but it&#039;s not an ETF either and is technically a debt instrument backed by Bear Stearns (now JP Morgan).  

It was not that long ago that they changed the rules to allow mutual funds to own MLPs, it was originally forbidden -- I don&#039;t know whether there are any traditional mutual funds (open ended) that focus on MLPs.</description>
