What about the puff about some unspecified desalination giant by the latest release by Government-Driven Investing, which also suggests a near perpetual motion invention by an inventor formerly living in Kuwait and whom it is alleged Saddam was trying to kidnap. Is anything known about all this?

By “Wacky” I just meant it’s a strange agglomeration of stuff — real estate and real estate development in Nevada, insurance run off, miscellaneous investments, and water (largely from water rights under their Nevada land). I’ve owned it before and don’t think they’re bad, though it’s probably a bit more expensive than I’d prefer at the moment, they’re just an odd bird.

I don’t know from “wacky” but less than 40% of PICO’s business is in water. This is typical of many of these so-called “water resource” stocks and ETF’s. So they are “sort of” water resource stocks. PICO’s chart is up against stiff resistance at 29.00….simply put, it needs to hold a close above that price. It’s no coincidence that the 50% Fibonacci line on a long term weekly chart is right there. Until it proves itself, it’s in a downtrend.
