At just about the very last second of trading today my limit order for Royal Gold triggered, a penny above the day’s close. So I now have a small entry position in Royal Gold (RGLD). This is a diversified royalty owner, largely in gold but also in other commodities, and the shares were obviously sold off today due to the pullback in gold. It’s possible that I’ll add to this position in the months ahead, but otherwise I now have a full enough exposure to precious metals and commodities to suit me.

I’ve written about Royal Gold several times over at the regular site, if I have anything to add I’ll do so here. Their current list of royalties is here.
