All Canadian trust funds are affected by the new tax laws and will have to convert from trusts prior to the Jan 1, 2011 deadline.

Some have already made successful transitions into corporations and were able to retain their dividend payments - Such as: Superior Plus Corp (SPB) on the TSX

So far only Canadian RIETS (also trusts with the .UN designation) will be exempt at this time.</description>
