Blockbuster contract announced yesterday (10/29/09)to supply 240 2.5MW turbines (approx 900 million)to a huge joint venture wind farm in Texas. After completion, Shenyang Power Group (SPG)owns 49% of the farm and apwr owns 40% of SPG so it isa deal to be the manufacturer and then part owner Texas. Google APWR for details

To JKey--
I bought shares and sold shares of APWR -- saw it go from mid $13 to $9. Anyway, it wouldn't have shares on the stock exchange as a privately held company.

http://www.ecoseed.org/index.php/en/general-news/green-politics/green-policies/asia-pacific/3023-china-shenyang-signs-147-m-alliance-with-a-power

Here are 2 url on the alliance. I glanced at some of the others on google but wasn't interested enough to pursue. apwr is 60% owner, ceo and that was enough for me.

I have owned apwr for 10 mos. --off and on -- but stable and increasing since about 5 mos ago.

I saw it go from 9 to 3 (20to3 if you go back a year or so) to 14 to 7 to 12 to 8 to currently 11.

They have lots of irons in the fire. If they execute, it is a blockbuster.

Spend time reading through wind4me.com There is a lot of factual info there. He is a supporter so it maybe is a bit biased but it is factual.

Hi Ken
Thanks for all the info, it is very hepful. Do you have a position, if so for how long? You also mention in your analysis that there are 6 other companies in Shenyang. Any idea who those 6 companies are or their trading symbols? Are you invested in any of the 6? Any info you can share is greatly appreciated
