		<description>I agree this will tilt the scales toward LCD at the expense of plasma but I&#039;m not convinced that&#039;s a bad thing. I&#039;m getting ready to upgrade from a 36&quot; dinosaur to a large HDTV and as I look around I don&#039;t see that plasma has a superior picture and definitely not at the expense of the power requirements. Beta had a better picture than VHS but that worked out OK. I expect the same thing to happen here.</description>

Well, I bought Corning thanks to OI recommendation but I think it was in 2007 or earlier - lost money on it and finally gave up
But I did see a news release today about Calif mandating this new rule about TV. Didn&#039;t study the details.</description>
