Hello Travis! – first post from another Aussie member, even though I’ve been an Irregular for a while now….and very grateful too…any thoughts about Manas Petroleum, also with some Mongolian activity? Cheers!
Any ideas about Byron York’s “oil kitchen”?
I just got an email from S & A promoting the “Mainz” income stream (royalties)…is this what you are referring to in this article? I’m new to all this….thanks, J.
Should have asked if anyone knows the specific investments they are mentioning in their Oil & Gas Royalties and other reports….they say these are on the US exchanges….???
Not sure how to get to making a comment, and this is not related to Frank Niedz’s reply, but
What doesTravis think of the Chinese boom? Is this overboosted?

On another subject, I noted in the WSJ ‘Insider-Trading Spotlight’ of Oct. 2-3 that L. Ellison [CEO of Oracle] sold five million shares of ORCL lst week. Any thoughts?
This is probably the dumb question of the set, but isn’t Ivanhoe a semi-hostile takeover target by Rio Tinto in 2011 (see the FT article “Rio’s sights fixed on Ivanhoe and Mongolian mine”; http://www.ft.com/cms/s/1c4b4702-c67a-11df-8a9f-00144feab49a,s01=1.html)? Given that the takeover clause is built into the two companies agreement on the Mongolian copper mine (can’t remember it), but that Ivanhoe is fighting it, does that change the perspective on investing in IVN?
Travis any idea what company Mr Hicks is talking about here. Being from NY I know any alternative to hydro-fracking could be big..
