I owned Quest years ago. It’s original design was to be a lender to small resource companies. And thats why I bought. Rule was involved back then in some capacity. For some reason they moved into real estate, maybe caught up in the real estate boom, they made a huge loan to Conrad Black.I will look at it again, but I will keep in mind they failed last time, perhaps they have learned some lessons.

Darn it, sorry about that typo, ITS original design, instead of It’s please. Not fully awake yet.

BDC make loans which are secured against the assets of the companies and have seniority in cases of bankruptcy.

Sprott Resource -if they are lending to resource/mining company, difficult to determine the asset quality in cases of default. What are your thoughts Travis?

Nice write up Travis, good to see other folks recognizing the long term value of SILU, with all their links and experience, i believe they will do well long term.

On another note, can you take a look at Sprott Power, CFM. They have just gone public and from what i can gather it looks like a good long term investment also. Their website doesnt have the investor presentation on it, but i emailed and asked for it and they sent it. Looking at the presentation and their future plans for also starting a dividend later this year, this Sprott Power could also be a reasonable investment at current prices. If possible could you dig more into this company.

Not sure if this is the right place for this question but here it is. Looking at AESYY (ADR) which are preferred shares of AES Brazilian hydorelectric company yielding in the 10% range. This was recommended in “High Yield International” newsletter. They are not convertible. Also looking at AESAY, the common stock counterpart yielding slightly less but still in the 9.5+ range. I am focused long term and income producing. Any insight on which to buy would be appreciated.

On EverBank market safe CDs, they have in the past capped the maximum return on the CD, which may be an ok you want the protection against principal loss, I didn’t. But their new commodity CD doesn’t seem to be capped but haven’t looked at it closely enough.

    It looks to be capped

i am torn between buying more SILU or accumulating Sprott Power SPZ. i think SPZ is trading at BV. see what you can dig up on them.

As a new small time investor and one of your newest members, I have really enjoyed all the work you put into uncovering these companies. You have already saved me alot of money by not investing in anymore newsletters. I very much like your insight and candid info on certain stocks that I was unsure of. I really like what I see in Sandstorm stocks but can not get them through sharebuilder. I really feel strongly about getting some shares but dont know a good way to do it. I am a green kid at this but I do know a good thing when enough research is done to make my own decisions about it. Can you recommend any cost effective ways to do this or do I just need to find a good broker. Thanks for all you do Travis and keep up the great work !!!
