Buying Brazilian Burgers

I just picked up some shares of Brazil Fast Food (BOBS, trades over the counter). This is a stock I’ve followed for a long time and suggested as an “Idea of the Month” candidate a year and a half ago — in the interim the company has continued to grow and is a better investment now, and it’s cheaper based on earnings (though the share price has done quite well). I like this as a play on the lower middle class in Brazil and, further out, on further developing the commercial infrastructure for the Olympics and World Cup coming to Brazil over the next five years. I’ll hold off on writing more about it for now because I’m planning to cover a variety of Brazilian ideas in the Friday File in a couple days, but wanted to quickly alert you, as promised, that there has been a change in my stock holdings with this buy
