My guess is they have their eyes on Destiny Media Technologies (DSNY).
In Sept they announced a product that would eliminate transcoding for any video and be playable on ALL devices and OS (this includes iPads and iPhones). Basically they have a “playerless” media solution. The video stays on the Net, is played on the Net so you never have to start a media player on your device. This eliminates bugs, hijacks/malware. Google spends over $1b on transcoding videos for YouTube. Destiny’s solution eliminates this cost for Google and every other media producer.
This “instant play” media solution is definitely a game changer. I would expect they get bought out as soon as they unveil the solution publicly. There is WAY too much revenue in licensing potential. They were in talks to merge with ONTC (ON 2) and Google came along and gobbled them up for $140m.
It’s a Canadian company so it’s hidden.
A ton of insider buying in last year. Their core biz (for right now) is watermarking songs from record labels. They have landed all of the major labels.
Hope this helps.
HTML 5 eliminates the constant updates and plugins each user has to be up to date with. How often do you see Adobe asking you to update?
What it doesnt do is eliminate the requirement for ALL media content producers to produce separate versions of the content to accommodate each device and OS.
Destiny’s solution solves both of these problems.
i was guessing it was raystream (rays). this might be interesting. the penny stock p&d letters have confused the issue for me. i am wary. i do not like to touch the penny letters. i have not seen any p&d on them lately but it still may be going on. rays is worth keeping an eye on i think. i would love to see what others think on this one.
Are there no more guesses on this mystery Protocol 5 small cap stock? I watched a nauseatingly-long promo on my computer yesterday that only teased and required that you buy their newsletter subscription. Any firmer guesses out there so that I can by-pass this entrepreneurish wolf?
There are some broadcast video server companies out there with a great deal of capability. It appears this could be a huge opportunity for these companies. A small company with lots of technical ability appears to be gearing up for these changes. Telvue (TEVE)in New Jersey. Feedback will be appreciated.

Does anyone have a current (Feb. ’24- 12) update on the Protocol 5 company(ies) ??
Thanks,
Fred
It is Destiny Media Technologies.
Go to DSNY.OB on Yahoo finance. Read the message board in Yahoo finance. Lots of good info, particularly from a poster named Einstock. (He writes a newsletter.)
I really like their story. The company has been in the business for many years and may have a very big winner with their new Clipstream product.
I started buying in at $0.41. It’s $0.77 now.
I usually am very conservative in buying.
BTW, I found DSNY via a Google search on the Gumshoe site for Protocol 5 which brought up the above original post.
Thanks,
Frank
Scott Shaffer, wondering what you think DSNY would be or could be “taken out” at?
