Anyone have any opinions on Opko Health (OPK)? There’s been a tremedous amount of insider trading from Dr Frost going back more than a year. A pharmaceutical company was purchased in Dec & it was announced today another was purchased, Also today it was announced they purchased the rights to tests that are done in additon to the current PSA (prostate[1] specific antigen) test that cuts false positive’s & the need for prostate biopsys in half. Dr Frost was behind Teva Pharmaceutical’s and that seems to have worked out well for investors. I’m thinking of buying more any advice?

    Dr. Frost’s style has always been to buy a shell company, find a niche, and develop from there. He’s a smart guy, and I follow him fairly closely since he is Miami based and I live near by. I’ve made money in all the investments I’ve made following him, and expect to make more. I try to buy close to his entry, then sit back.

    Bill, what was Dr. Frost’s entry price on OPK?

    The earliest records I’ve seen on stock purchases by Dr. Phillip Frost in Opko Health are from late February 2010. He already had a position of over 97 mil shares at that time, and began adding more around $2.00/share on a very regular basis. There were months where he made purchases in excess of 10 to 12 separate times usually in the range of 5,000 to 15,000 shares at a time. His latest purchase was on Feb. 8th, 2012 and he controls almost 109 mil shares through his Frost Gamma Investments Trust.

    He bought another 10,000 shares yesterday at price range of $5,205 to $5.22 See;
