We received a 6 page letter about XCLL, an .80 stock that is supposed to go up 500% by June. What do you think.

  1. These picks that come with a long unsolicited email and give a sales pitch for the company are almost all “pump and dump” stocks that someone’s just trying to drive up in price. I don’t know this one personally, but I ignore all such “recommendations” I receive.

OK, sometimes I don’t ignore them — they can be fun, and I occasionally write about them — but I sure don’t buy them. Have never yet seen one “pumped” stock that had fundamentals to justify the hype.

General rule for marketing materials: If they tell you the name, they’re trying to drive up the stock price; if they won’t tell you the name, they’re trying to get subscribers.

I’m just learning how to trade online and for some unknown source (newsletter provider) I was sent a thick newsletter six(6) pages and this stock (xcll) was “highly recommended and practically prompted me to buy it. The article was so convincing the fact there was mention about apple computers using it to speed up their Iphones and Ipads to make them faster than they are today. Does this sound familiar to you? Could this be TRUE? Please comment, I need an expert opinion on this before I buy. I’m still leery cause I don’t know any better.

Thanks for any feedback form anyone !
