Louis Basenese promoting his Micro Cap Tech Trader with a promotion of a ”sound laser” company that will change the world of sound and make us all millions. Any ideas out there in Gumshoe land. Thanks, Ron

Likewise, I’m fasinated having read about this on Wall Street Daily – the concept is fasinating and implications enormous and like Ron, also intrigued as to further details regarding this disruptive technology – any feedback from Gumshoe readers will be appreciated – lets share the opportunity of this game changing innovation.
Thanks Greg

using the sound blazer teaser as a stock gumshoe teaser defies the purpose of your business………exposing the tease. Shame.

I believe this is PAMT – Parametric Sound – a 2010 spinoff of LRAD – which manufactures long range acoustical devices (as in one of the Seabourne fleet blasting a targeted sound at attacking pirates). Does indeed look like a disruptive technology, and the prime inventor, Woody Norris, has a long track record. PAMT though has losses at present, and may need more financing before becoming profitable, which would be dilutive.

No Althea, PAMT is California based. It’s Holosonics in Watertown, MA. They aren’t now publicly traded, but may have their IPO on 25 Feb 2013. Their website is at holosonics.com

What do you make of today’s Wall Street Daily? ‘As such, when they see this image, it’s possible that trading in one particular stock might get delayed until about 10:00 AM, while more information is collected” which continues with a teaser on sound laser

Why do you think this is not Parametric? The spiel specifies the inventor’s connection with Jabra. This would seem to be Woody Norris, right?

Because Dr. F. Joseph Pompei is the founder & brains behind Holosonics, in MASS, while Parametric is Woody Norris, and is CALIF based…
So they are 2 separate companies, with 2 different Founders, in 2 different States…
Their technologies sound somewhat similar, but they at not one-in-the-same AT ALL, regardless of what Athena wrote!
And I, too, would like more info! Louis writes that the stock shares for this company (unnamed in his article/sales pitch) were $8, but if it hasn’t even had an IPO yet, where am I to go to acquire these stocks at $8 or at all???

Judging from the price of the stock mentioned in the tout PAMT fits the bill.

I was about to say the same thing Jerry M but then ran across this thread of comments.
I have become tired of the teasers this last year or so, so I decided to see if google would help me find Basenese’s secret company and that led me to gumshoe this past week. Very entertaining. Althea S seems to have answered why I found no symbol on stock charts for holosonics. Looking forward to checking in here often.

WELL I DON’T THINK MOST OF WE MERE MORTALS HAVE ACCESS TO IPO’S.
UNFORTUNATLY MY EXPERIENCE IS TO CHASE THE STOCK JUST COMING OUT AS IT DROPS LIKE A LEAD BALLOON WITH THE IPO SHARES TAKING PROFITS.
iS HOLOSONICS THE TEASE OR DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE?

I don’t know who or which company it is, but Parametric shares are less than eight dollars.
However, they inked a deal back in November, with Ingram Micro (IM) for IM to be the exclusive retail distributor of Parametric’s products. Ingram closed today at $17.45 per share.
I wonder if this will be a company to watch, also.

It would appear to be Parametric Sound. Interesting article on seekingalpha.com entitled “Rinse and Repeat: Short Parametric Sound”. The author is not impressed!

I get that these are two different companies, coasts, and founders. I still don’t get why it might not be Parametric

That’s like saying you don’t get why Macy’s might not also really be Sears… It’s because they just aren’t!! They are 2 different Founders, 2 different locations, 2 different, separate companies that are not at all one in the same… If it was the same company, they’d have the same Founder, like Estée Lauder and Clinique–they’re 2 different company factions, but they have the same Founder, so they’re really the same company, in 2 different packages… Holosonics and Parametric Sound, however, are more like Sears & Macy’s: 2 different Founders, 2 fully separate companies, not interwoven or attached or connected… Read more »

Excuse me for interrupting. I am a new investor but have researched several stocks. I listened to Basenese’s teasers and pulled the important tidbits and went looking for the company that had them all and not currently publickly traded, Holosonics. I would like to find out how to get in right now also Maureen. I will and would appreciate it ant updates are known. This company is working with some pretty big hitters.

It sounds like the speakers being sold by Holosonics are in some ways similar to Parametric Sound’s, at least in the types of application they’re designed for, but the stock being touted by Basenese is certainly PAMT. I don’t know if Holosonics is accepting or will ever accept outside investors or go public, but generally small individual investors are wise to avoid non-public companies even in the rare cases when non-public companies do accept small investments. Being public brings a huge amount of transparency that we can easily take for granted, transparency that isn’t available in non-public companies (some non-public… Read more »

I’m not impressed with the Parametric Sound product. Its frequency range of 300Hz to 15kHz doesn’t cover the low bass nor high overtones to produce high quality full range sound.
I’m also inclined to believe Louis Basenese is touting Holospace because he calls specific attention to February 25, 2013, which according to Andy Gelston (above) is the Holospace IPO date.

I just checked the Holospace offering, and its frequency response is similar to Parametric Sound’s product. So neither is meant for high fidelity applications.

No, nor me. Anyway as Maureen points out Holosonics is not listed. Either way I’m losing interest and won’t be buying either one even if I could. However with my track record that could mean this really is the next “big thing”!!

EDDIE..WE WE ARE BOTH GRADUATES OF THE FAMOUS SCHOOL OF TRADING “AU CONTRAIRE” BUT I PROBABLY GOT BETTER MARKS. i HAVEN’T CAUGHT A RISING STAR IN YEARS. HAPPY NEW YEAR AND BETTER TRASING IN 2013!
I’M HOPING THIS IS MY GAME CHANGER………AXX ALDERON IRON AND ORE..I GOT IN AT 1.39 AND IT’S TRADING VERY WELL. AROUND 1.94 IN WEEKS SINCE I GOT IN. BIG CHINESE COMPANY HAS ALREADY FUNDED 60 MILLION FOR A PIECE OF IT. THEIR FEASABILITY STUDY IS DUE OUT MID MONTH AND ALL EXPECT GLOWING REPORTS. GOOD LUCK IF YOU CHOOSE IT.

I agree with Althea. Basenese mentions in his pitch that he attended a conference in Boston, not that the company is located in Boston. Parametric’s founder Elwood Norris was born in 1938, making him 74. He did work with Jabra. And, I believe Basenese let the cat out of the bag when he responded to the “Rinse and Repeat: Short Parametric Sound” article with his rebuttal published on SeekingAlpha on 10/1/2012, in which he rigorously defends Parametric. My vote is that he is pitching PAMT. After perusing their financials, which are ugly, PAMT does not look like a pitch worth… Read more »

Basenese hurried back from the airport, not necessary to fly to Watertown, MA., 2 cities
from Boston. Which I believe leaves out Holosonics. As Parametrics is in CA. it would be necessary to take a flight there to attend the conference. He hurried back to his office
which appears to be in the Greater Boston area,

The Basenese “Micro Cap Tech Trader” pitch strains credibility in my opinion. Doesn’t necessarily mean the information isn’t of value but the method turns me off. Anybody subscribe to it who can offer an opinion?

The annual subscription is very “spendy” – $3500.
You can either pay the first year annual rate of $850 and apply the “$2650 check” he’s offering to the subscription price OR pay the full subscription price of $3500 and receive a check back of $2650 to “spend as you please”. Whatever…but for him to think he has the corner on this news is folly.
That’s why I come here when I get a “teaser”!

I believe it is Wood Norris: Hypersonic Sound: When I Google him Holosonics.com comes up first…it is his technology that is making this company work, they have to be working together if it comes up with his name.

PAMT this company was spun off of LRAD in Sept. 2010 which was American Technology Corp. from 1980.

My reference is Wikipedia…take it for what you think….

Googled two message Louis mentions in his teaser(NY Times & USA Today) and they refer to American Technology Corp. The stock could be LRAD or PAMT.

why did Robert say to go to soundlaser.com? – it’s a marketing site. I am following this thread to try to get in on the micro-cap when it comes out on Feb 25th. Can anyone tell me how I buy stock on the day the public company commences? i.e. Holosonics

Ok–I just sat through the 30 minute video for this “sound laser” I also do not what company it is. Here’s my question though–the presentation states that you can purchase this company now. Their “target” price is $8 but the current price(I think I heard this correctly) is around $5. So If this company is holosonics and it’s a private company–then you cannot buy it right now. If it is going public how can Lou say he has a target price of $8? You never know what you will get in at once the flood gates open. I’m a bit… Read more »

I’m pretty sure it is PAMT based on a report the gumshoe put out last year and a follow up one recently. AS far as the announcement I know there are rumors that PAMt might be signing an agreement with MC Donalds–but it’s conjecture at this point. I hope it’s a good deal though. PAMT has lost a lot of steam lately
