I would say the two main companies involved in this area are; SSYS and DDD.
When looking to the future with 3D printing, I think you should look outside of just printer hardware manufactures. All these systems require a digital input. A CAD program. I am investing in CAD who currently lead this nitch. The other item for obtaining input for printer is going to come from the 3D hand scanners. For home printer use a scanner is a must. Review the hand scanner manufacturers and pick your choices.
05 June 2013 – Founders of Objet (which has merged with Stratasys last year) are suing Stratasys (TICKER: SSYS), its management and its major insider shareholders for damages.
