I was reading an article by Parker Stansberry in which he states that several of the World’s Countries and the IMF are considering using an alternate method of currency, a Special Drawing Fund, and abandoning the dollar. Stating this his idea is that investment should be in anything but US Dollar out of the reach of the Government since this signals an impending collapse of the Dollar and our Economy. Thoughts??????

I just finished watching his online video promo for a risk free trial to his reports and services in which his hook is the US$’s demise as the world’s base or benchmark currency. He makes some compelling arguments. Still, as with all these so-called experts, I wonder if it just getting more difficult to get more customers precisely because things are so bad for the average Joe on Main Street. How much do these people make on subscriptions to their newsletters or reports vs. on the investments they tout?

Pet peeve: You can sign up and pay for many of these services online but you have to call or write snail mail to cancel. That’s hedging!

I have one of his newsletters and also am compelled by his arguments that the US Dollar is doomed. It would seem logical. We are watching it happen almost on a daily basis when countries agree to trade in their dollars and not the US dollar. I can’t see how the US dollar does not get replaced as the reserve currency very soon. Not sure, but can’t tell, if the current US administration isn’t in favor of that; which they appear to be, but for what reason I know not.
As an aside, I don’t like how these companies all tease you and then when they get their hooks into you, make it very difficult to get out; including auto renew, which is in the fine print.
