Been casually following 3d printing for some time. Companies such as SSYS, DDD, ADSK & Makerbot (purchased by Stratasys), HP & Dessault Systemes (related software). Appreciate any thoughts related to the major players, potential winners & losers as competition for market heats up. Thank you!

I am following 3D companies as well. You can add XONE 67.98+3.91 Aug 6 Tue. I ran a machine shop and appreciate what 3D Printing will do to manufactuing and am very enthusiastic about the future. XONE appears to be able to make steel and hard metal parts not like PRLB plastic suff.Keep in touch.Alex
I found another 3D printing company located in Sweden but also listed on OTC symbol AMAVE now @ $83. It diferrs from XONE, PRLB and others in that it uses electron beam in vacuum to deposit dense metal layers If you know any other 3D Printer cos please post the info.
I am also interested in the market and honestly think this is the next best thing.
Check out Sigma Labs (SGLB) they have some exciting 3d inspection technologies and have mou with GE and Boeing. Also working on a metal printer capable of speeds 10x current rate. Good scientific team in the firm as well. Happy Investing!
I am a 3D investor and folow AMAVF, DDD, PRLB, SSYS and XONE will check out Sigma Labs
Thanks
Im long sigma labs also. They are set to launch printrite3d commercially before the end of the year which together with their existing contracts will no doubt attract investor attention from within an already heavily touted industry sector. An early play will yield muxh larger gains will little down side.
I’m researching DDD and Faro. Ready to invest SOON!
I get the opportunity. Clearly this is a technology that can change the world. My question is whether to invest now, with the best companies trading at P/E of 100+ and the market ripe (in my opinion) for a general correction. Do you all believe these stocks will continue to rise unimpeded?
Finally, what are the risks from patent expiration?
