As a (new) irregular, I’m wondering – should we be receiving notifications when “Personal Portfolio Comments” are made?
They’re added as links in the Irregulars Corner on each free daily update, but we don’t mail them out individually — they’re often short and I wouldn’t call them urgent. People generally ask for less email from us, not more, but if folks want more email notifications we’re willing to reconsider.
I would argue for reconsideration, Travis. I actually would have bought XRX at the $9.60 or so that you paid if I had known that you bought it when you did. As it turned out I bought it later at $10.25 (and again when it dipped back down to $9.69). I’d love to know via email as soon as regulations allow you to let us know, personally.
Count me in too, as receiving the emails from you, Travis. Thanks!
Travis, When you say you are holding BRK-B for many years. Are you using a trailing stop?
Regards,
GBD.
No. I rarely use trailing stops, I generally use them only when I have little conviction in a stock’s fundamental performance but the stock is rising, or when I want to sell for some
other reason. If Berkshire Hathaway falls 25 percent (or something like it) it will almost certainly be because the market has a big reset or crashes — if that happens, I hope to be ready to buy more, not sell.
Another new irregular in favor of receiving the “Personal portfolio comments”………. TJM
Me too: in favor of receiving personal portfolio comments.
Hi Travis,
Thank you for all that you do. Can you email me your personal portfolio comments as well.
Rgards,
Maureen
