I read about as much of this come on as I could tolerate lots of hype but gave up before I got to any punch line does anyone know what it is and is it plausible that all the threats are even somewhat real?

      These predictions come around every few months, and have (on and off, depending on sentiment) for the last 25 years or so of the investment newsletter industry’s heyday. Someday they’ll be right, and there are good points made by many of these pitches, but if they ever call the date correctly or correctly target the specific catalyst that will send the globe spinning in a different direction it will be a shock probably even to the copywriters — those are really just the result of a desperate need to turn an argument that you should do something into an argument that YOU MUST DO THIS RIGHT NOW OR YOU WILL BE DOOMED … which, of course, is more likely to get you to part with your credit card number.
