Tony Sagami[1] is teasing the ”Mobile Supernet, one small tech company has developed a revolutionary new way to deliver mobile internet service.”
It isn’t very hard to find the company, It is Artemis and their Mobile Supernet is the new wireless pWave antenna which enhances mobile phone performance. A dozen articles were published about Artemis and the Rearden Tech Incubator last February http://www.rearden.com/press2012.php[2].
The question is how do I invest in this new technology? Rearden is a tech business incubator and Artemis is a startup, and neither of them are issuing any stock to the public at this time.
So I wonder if Tony has found a vendor of a component necessary for the pWave to work. Any ideas?

The wizkid is http://www.artemis.com ‘s Steve Perlman and his pCell based on pWave technology. From what I can tell (I’m not a engineer by any means) the concept is sound. His demo is uterly unreal. Assuming all is as presented this is a HUGE game changer for last mile wireless data comm.
The technology is 4g/LTE compatible which means all the newer phones are ready to go. His radio whould be realityly inexpensive and connects to any Internet broadband and theroretically potential for pWave routing for some bradband distribution savings.
And he’s made a deal with DISH Networks which looks like a potential massive win-win. They are launching a 50 sq km trial in SFO THIS YEAR!
Thanks Bob. It looks like the buy is for DISH Networks, since Artemis and Rearden are not public companies yet. I shall look into DISH.
I’m not much of a cell phone user. I have a prepaid GO Phone from ATT, but I live in the SF area. I’ll see what I can find out locally about it around here.
ATT is buying Direct TV. It seems that ATT would be interested in getting ahold of the pWave too. I own ATT and Verizon, but not Comcast.
Well I finally gave in and listened to Sagami’s pitch. It is for a component, so it’s not DISH, but DISH is still an interesting option. And what do you know, Tony’s new service is for Options trading. I passed on the $2300 discount from $4000 to a mere $1700 if I act right away. Too late now.

He might be trying to sell you some TI stock. PureWave’s design supposedly uses the TCI6630K2L System-on-Chip (SoC) and TI’s new analog front end transceiver, the AFE7500.
Rob,
Thanks for the tip on Texas Instruments. After I started this discussion Tony revealed his pitch was for DISH, but I like your idea of TXN better. It’s a solid company with a decent dividend, and I like dividend stocks. If the P-Wave is the huge success Tony predicts, Texas Instruments might increase their dividend. But if it isn’t, TXN is still a good investment.

Thanks for the suggestion, Rob. I looked up TI and it is Telecom Italia. I’m not sure this is what Tony is teasing. I think he called it a small startup, and Telecom Italia is a huge European corporation. Since the video was for an Options service, it would have to be big enough for someone to be selling Options. I traded options 30 years ago, and it was very profitable, but they took too much attention. They required quick trades to jump on increases or get out with a small loss.

Ooops. You meant Texas Instruments, not Telecom Italia. I wanted to delete my last post, but I don’t know how.
