written by reader The Next Exxon: Making Gasoline Without Oil

By skippmetzger, June 9, 2015

Dear Irregulars:

The Oxford Club is proposing that the Middle East is really upset with a picture of a company in the swamps of America creating enough gasoline to fuel over 10-million vehicles without using one barrell of oil?

What is the name of this new company…the next Exxon? You can find out by subscribing to another newsletter from the Oxford Club….

Anyone have any idea what the author is talking about? Is it possible to make gasoline from something other than oil?

I don’t know what stock they are pushing, but gasoline can be made from a coal gasification process. Apparently, this technology has been around for a while — I worked at an engineering company that built a coal gasification plant in New Zealand many years ago. With improvement in the technology and the politics of oil today, this process will probably become more common.

Hi Skipp, we covered this when they first started running it about a year ago (before oil and gas collapsed, in other words) — they don’t seem to have changed the promo much, it’s a tease about South African giant Sasol (SSL), which was planning (now “on hold”) a mega gas-to-liquids plant in Louisiana. Our older article on this is here: http://www.stockgumshoe.com/reviews/oxford-resource-explorer/real-gasoline-without-oil-for-90-returns/

If you like the GTL story, Christian DeHaemer is also touting a smaller company in the space for one of his newsletters, the smaller Velocys — our article on that is here. Hasn’t been a great time for any of the stocks in gas-to-liquids over the past nine months.

There are so many damn newsletters I’ve lost track of them. I remember the gas with out oil pitch. It could be produced for 58 cents a gallon. I’ll lost through my records to see if I can come up with something more. The one newsletter that got me was Hillary Kramer with her guarantee of 3 double digit winners a month. I let 3 months pass and guess what, no doubles so I lost on the newsletter and her recommendations.

Ok. I watched The Jim Cramer show a year or two
Ago. The CEO of, I think, IBM, or 3M came on the show with his own “vial” of fuel. 1of those two places, Im sure I could call him and ask, but one of
Those two guys said that that’s what their
Private jets use all the time, and they make it themselves! It’s been bothering me ever since. I don’t suppose anybody whatched the show? I’d really like to know the answer to this one. What about the ad that says our B-52’s use it all the time. When I got drafted, I ended up being a crew
Chief on them, and their gauges were bad all the time. And since we were still in the “Cold War” and
Flew around Russia non-stop, and it was important to have those fuel gauges work. As soon as a problem came up with them, they had to de-fuel that specific cell or tank. And all that fuel was sent
Out into the fields( I was in ND) and torched! They
Automatically called it contaminated fuel. And man did they burn the fuel. But back then they used the real JP-4. I’d sure like to know more about this one. Thanks Everybody!

GEVO-Hi Harry, I believe you may be interested in this equity as it is along the same lines i.e. jet fuel. No position. Best2Ya-Ben

I belong to the Oxford Club but it seems everytime they have info on a potential investment opportunity, they want more money for the name! What did I buy?
