Let’s get to the bios lol
Cool, thanks for the heads up Travis!!
Wow that’s off the beaten path! I love it. It would make a fun profile for our own IPO newsletter so I’ll look into it.
Does anyone have an opinion on SHOP ? It seems to be smoking for the lawst few days.
$shop is one of my non-biotech stocks … i’m happily long & full … btw my definition of full may not be everyone’s definition & “full” keeps changing as i’m attempting to reduce the number of companies that i’m invested in, so i may possibly purchase more $shop & still say that its full … ymmv
there are many whose opinions i trust who also have $shop
but, of course, unfortunately, i will not/cannot make any recommendations with regards to $shop

Best of luck with your investment, but between budget cuts & promises to dismantle the “administrative state” – which the USDA is most certainly a part of – & the unpredictable but seemingly increasing occurrence of droughts , I think I’ll pass on investing in anything related to crop insurance at the moment.
A very reasonable concern. I suspect the impact will be far less notable than the bluster, but we’ll see.
For insurance companies, it’s very much a question of whether they can analyze risk well enough — and that includes risks of climate extremes, which insurance companies will seemingly be pricing in for decades before public policy catches up.
Assuming NODK is involved in reinsurance to mitigate risk, do you know the extent to which they are? Thanks for any info.
They do use reinsurance to attempt to limit their possible losses. I haven’t seen any disclosures about what their net exposure might be at any point in time, or how aggressive they are about using reinsurance right now.
