As an older investor (74) I am interested in steady income for the future. Obviously, treasuries are not an option, but approximately 55% of my portfolio is invested in CEFs (closed-end funds), with another 15% invested in regular ETFs. The rest is spread over a variety of investment types including REITs (10%), precious metals (10%) […]

Any thoughts or info on what Oxford Income Letter calls their ”F” shares. They say there are 79 companies that are 75% owned by the FOUNDERS, and pay out much higher dividends that increase more each year relative to the average dividend stock. Any and all insight would be appreciated. Thanks

An alternative some of you might consider. I have no faith in Radical Technology Profits recommendations, except that they will drive the price up when they publish a new stock. I sold 40 9/15/17 puts at $1.60 on August 4, and as of the close today they[...]

On Friday File: Interest Rates, REITs, Bitcoin and Berkshire

Regarding REITs, I would be interested in other opinions on the three that I own. All have been very good investments thus far for me. APTS, purchased in November/2014 at $8.73 has more than doubled with dividends reinvested (current YOC is 10.2%). NRZ,[...]

On "On September 16, some 100 billion dollars could begin to flow into one sector of the market..."

If you're looking for other alternatives, look at NRZ and APTS. NRZ is currently paying $1.84 a year (about 13%), and APTS is paying $.81 a year (about 5.85%). I bought NRZ in March, 2016 at $11.90 (current price is $14.11, so my YOC is 6.81%. I bought [...]
