“My Current Solar Stock Recommendation” Navellier

I’m not entirely sure when this ad was sent out, or exactly what the context was, but I was sent a snippet of it from a reader just recently and thought I’d share.

The ad is for Blue Chip Growth, Louis Navellier’s large cap growth newsletter (according to Hulbert’s calculations, this newsletter has handily beaten the market over the past 3, 5 and ten year periods, though it’s worth noting that it usually carries a very large number of individual stocks in its portfolio … so individual subscribers might not match those returns).

Motley Fool: “10X Bigger than the Internet: 4 Alternative Energy Plays”

This one has caused quite a stir among the vast and mighty Gumshoe readership, if my steady deluge of email is any indication. Navellier’s Stocks for January 2008

This teaser comes in with Navellier happily boasting that his strategy is on the ascent — that value managers are headed for the exits and growth managers are shooting out the lights … which does certainly appear to be the conventional wisdom these days (value managers, after all, are almost all stuck with huge positions in the big financial stocks that are still stinking up the joint).

And after his little bit of (perhaps deserved) braggadoccio, Navellier notes that he thinks there are three great stocks from his portfolios that are the best picks for this month (yes, it really is 2008 — when did that happen?)
