I’ve looked at plenty of teaser email ads from Untapped Wealth over the last year or so — if you’re not familiar with these folks, this is a newsletter run by Tim Fields and Eric Dickson, and it’s described as the “flagship” publication of Trinity Research, one of a half-dozen or so relatively large financial newsletter publishers.
In many ways, Untapped Wealth has been very similar to so many others — they pick some good, some bad, and they use the tease/greed impulse to get you to sign up to find out the details about their favorite investing ideas. Their teaser picks over the past few months that I’ve noted have included a geothermal play, a WiMax investment, and the much-discussed “forever battery.”

This one has come up in questions from readers quite a few times over the past few weeks that it’s been circulating, and the shares have already moved up a little bit with the company trying to get some press coverage tomorrow as they demonstrate their technology. So now seemed like a good time to mention them.
The teaser is from Untapped Wealth and editor Tim Fields, they’d like $99 from you for the special report and a subscription to the newsletter … Untapped Wealth isn’t covered by Hulbert and I’ve not seen their long term performance figures, so I have no idea whether or not they’re any good. But I do know you don’t need to subscribe just to find out the name of this “forever battery” company — not while the Gumshoe is on the case!

Tim Fields and Eric Dickson over at Trinity Research have been selling subscriptions on the back of geothermal investing for a little while, and they’ve got a new brief “teaser” out about their pick for this sector.
Geothermal energy is nothing new to the Gumshoe Faithful, of course, and those of us who’ve been paying any attention at all have noted a significant raise in profile for geothermal stocks, notably US Geothermal,Western GeoPower and Ormat.
