I think I have solved this one, but I am open to being corrected:
is it AMLM
American Lithium?
Teased today in e-mail:
This Small Firm Will Turn The Energy World On Its Head
We’ve already seen the inevitability of lithium’s rise to energy dominance …and the inevitability of stratospheric lithium price rises.
But here’s why this one firm could capture the lion’s share of the boodle…
- It owns 30% of the world’s known lithium reserves…
- It controls 50% of the world’s market for lithium products…
- It’s the only major American lithium producer…
In fact, despite what you may think you know about producing lithium, thisAmerican firm owns reserves in the one spot on earth with nearly five and a half times more recoverable lithium than any other place!
This last point bears repeating…”5½ times more recoverable lithium than any other place”… because it’s key to this company’s dominance and profitability.
Sitting On The Mother Lode of Lithium
In this one spot, there are only two operating lithium mines, and they are quietly pumping 70% of the world’s raw lithium out of the ground…
But here’s the deal… not all lithium is created equal… nor is all lithium equally profitable to refine.
To simplify, large concentrations of lithium are found in only two forms – spodumene and brine.
Spodumene is underground ore. It has to be painstakingly extracted, and meticulously dried and processed with harsh chemicals like sulfuric acid before it can be refined into the fine powder used in batteries.
All of this takes a lot of money.
On the other hand, brine-based lithium is easily accessible. It forms in large pools laying 90-130 feet under the surface of gigantic salt beds. After it’s sucked to the surface, evaporation transforms it from light yellow slush into raw lithium.
The merciless sun – right here where I’m standing – does all the work! So the cost of mining lithium brine is less than half the cost of extracting spodumene ore.
Where others pay $2,400 a ton to extract lithium…our tiny company pays a mere $1,200 a ton. And as the price of lithium shoots skyward, this cost advantage – and profits – will increase exponentially!

There's some disagreement about this one. Another reader thinks it's AMLM, but Travis thinks it's ROC.
Here's a link to the discussion….

Could be ROC?
http://www.examiner.com/x-3721…..cas-future
Quote:
Lithium Supplies
Since I’m also a day trader and an avid fan of CNBC for its stock coverage, I caught the exclusive interview today with Seifi Ghasemi, Chairman and CEO of Rockwood Holding Inc. (NYSE: ROC). He reported that his company has lithium mines in Chile and in the U.S. State of Nevada. Rockwood Holdings, therefore, controls 30% of the world’s supply.
This is not surprising, considering that Chile is #2 in the world reserves with about 3M tons. Bolivia, for the record, has the largest reserves with about 5.4M tons; and China is 3rd, ahead of America.
Furthermore, he especially noted that lithium has different dynamics; meaning, its supply is not subject to the same issues as oil. Question: Should that make the future addiction issue a moot point?
As I perused Rockwood Holding’s news releases at its site, I noticed the Recovery and Reinvestment Act allowed the U.S. Energy Department to award Rockwood’s subsidiary, Chemetall Foote Corp., about $28.4M to expand and upgrade the production of lithium materials for batteries specific to transportation.

I just received a follow-up tease for the lithium stock:
When I wrote you last Saturday, it was up 18.5% over the prior 5 days.
When I wrote you again last Monday, it had popped 20% more.
AMLM gained much less than 18.5% in the 5 days prior to last Saturday. ROC's gain matches the follow-up.

I bought a small (dang it!) chunk of AMLM a few days ago and after today’s surge am up almost 46%. As they say, even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then. Any idea what caused the jump today?

I just searched my email and found a pump for AMLM (which I ignored) dated October 14. There may be more.
Here it is (disclaimer included):
http://www.amspec-05.com/AMLM/…..&l=143
AMLM closed at 1.58 on October 13…the stock price mentioned in the pump ('about half a buck') was history.

I sold today at 2.60…now up to 2.85.
BTW, I sold my 1000 shares thru TD Ameritrade, and my market order took about 4 minutes to fill (and got a price 3 cents lower than what was current when the order was placed), despite a volume of >5M at that point. Why can a trade of 1000 shares take so long to fill? My trades usually complete within a few seconds.

From John Meyers, the paid pumper for AMLM:
“It’s like putting a miracle in your portfolio.”
I’ve noticed an interesting technique in this and other pumper ads. The disclaimer is included as an image, not text. Therefore, if you do a search for “paid”, “advertising”, or “advertisement”, you get nothing. Furthermore, if you exclude those terms on a search, Google and other engines are not aware of those words, so you will get the paid advertisements even though you specifically tried to exclude them.
The image does not specify an “alt” text for the disabled. So, it’s possible these solicitations could be illegal based on laws requiring handicap access. I’m not a lawyer and I don’t play one on TV, but in my opinion, these ads should also be illegal based on deceptive practices. If the rest of the ad is text and searchable, then the disclaimer should be as well.

Another pump jump we might see is TRGL. Gumshoe has discussed this one. Seems to be back again for round 2 (or 3).
