Free web site has investment recommendations that replaced for fee investment newsletter recommending mostly index mutual funds and ETFs. Free weekly website/iPod broadcast also available which replaced a free weekly radio broadcast.

Website owner firm advises several company 401K plans including Boeing employees. Best known for their recommended asset allocations in index funds/ETFs. Website owner firm makes their money advising investors who are too busy to follow the free website recommendations themselves, also provides financial counseling to clients.

I wish I had access to this site when I fist started investing back in the 1960s, I’d be a deca-millionaire now. I first had access to the free recommendations in 1997 but sort of ignored them until 2002. Then I made big money from 2003-2007 but was foolish enough to be 100% invested in stocks (ignoring their 60-40 recommended stock/bond split) because I thought “the market never goes down (for long)” and “buy the dips”. After the 2008 crash I now see the importance of following their portfolio, including the 60-40 split, as closely as possible.

I bought the web site CEO’s book from http://www.amazon.com as a Christmas present for all my friends, but all the information in the book is on the web site, so the book is for people who don’t have home Internet access. CEO is a big, big, big fan of John Bogle of Vanguard.

Mark Hulbert has tracked their investment results record for almost 5 years now, so if you are a subscriber to Mark’s financial investment newsletter review, consult his semi-annual review of all the newsletters he covers.
