Gold and Silver Trader began service around June of 2013; my subscription began around mid July.
Edelson did a good job of providing background information and explaining how he was going to help subscribers capitalize on the swings of precious metals in both directions using funds and inverse funds. Edelson was apparently expecting his short term recommendation success to follow his long term prediction model success.
Unfortunately, in my view, it was an abysmal failure. After 6 months of monitoring his recommendations, he was had only around 31% gainers and 69% losers; my spread sheet accounting showed an overall loss of around $6000 for the first six months (of course, this amount is subject to all the variables involved in trading, so is subject to being higher or lower). Since July 2013, gold and silver have gone through at least one major rise and fall with several minor swings. Edelson’s advice was inconsistent, and he totally missed some; I expected much better results from a “seasoned” investor, as he touts.
A refund guarantee came with the subscription, which I did exercise; Weiss was quick to refund my unused prorated subscription cost.
I used Edelson back when he first joined Weiss and that was in the early days of the rise in the precious metals. I found his advice to be so-so and not very good at his timing for entry. I left the service after a year
Larry Edelson died a couple months ago. Weiss seems to be trying to keep his name/reputation alive
I agree with grumpy_snort but did like some of Larry’s advice. Now it seems that after his death even his Edelson Wave and prediction newsletters has gone over to Banyon. I don’t trust Weiss one bit
