I subscribed to “DIVIDEND SUPERSTARS” in 2009 for a year and since the bulk of my investment money is now under professional management, I did not review the subscription but not because it wasn’t valuable. Nilus Mattive writes this monthly report under the Weiss Research umbrella. It cost $69 and includes e-mailed updates as well as the many e-mails from Weiss begging you to join the various expensive services also available. I was impressed with the calm and sensible analysis offered in Dividend Superstars. He keeps the reader up to date on the most stable dividend payers and cautions against going for the highest dividend stocks as they may have some bad news lurking beneath the surface. This is not a typical, hysterically screaming rag with fantastic super bargains set to make you richer with 2,346.98 percent gains overnight. Instead it’s a slow and steady approach to long term investing that should do quite well for the person seeking a safe, steady return for funding a 401K or building a retirement nest egg. He offers interesting insight into picking the best dividend stocks and often suggests a good buying target instead of leaping into the purchase immediately. This is worth a try!

I have subscribed to Income Superstars for perhaps five years. Unfortunately, Weiss Research discontinued the newsletter in the summer of 2017. Nilus Mattive is an excellent writer and researcher. I was impressed with his common sense approach to recommendations with minimum hype that is found in other Weiss Research newsletters. This was by far the best newsletter to which I have ever subscribed. Being retired I especially liked a section called “Dad’s Portfolio” in which Nilus was managing a $100,000 portfolio for his father who was preparing for retirement. But both portfolios recommended dividend paying stocks with the added opportunity for growth. Some recommended stocks were well known companies while others were lesser known but well researched. I am hoping that Nilus will reappear with a similar newsletter under a different publisher. I will be the first to subscribe.
