Leeb’s Real World – Natural Resources Advisory LLC.

The first name of this service launched in August 2008 was “Leeb’s Energy World”; a new name, “Leeb’s Real World”, was given on 12th March 2009. Gregory Dorsey is the current editor (Ivan Martchev was the editor of the first issues).

The portfolio choices are relatively remarkable (but we must forget some of the calls made during 2008) from well-known companies to more obscure ones.

Two issues per month (with 1 to 4 recommendations — sometimes simply updated — per issue).

Worth the price, imho…

A short add to my review.

LRWI is now recommanding Silver Wheaton… without any explanations about the fact that this particular – and famous – stock was sold by their service with hugh losses several months ago… Happily, I didn’t follow this “sell” recommandation and made a nice profit with a buyback at more depressed prices…

That said, I don’t change my global positive appreciation.

Whether you believe Leeb gives good advice or just has so many different advisory services that at least some will be correct forget about their promises of money back if dissatisfied. I have now had to complain to my credit card company and the ftc in order to try to obtain a long overdue refund. The company does not answer emails and gives you lip service when you call.

I have subsribed for over a year now. I like the advice. Have done quite well with following their advice.

However over the last 2 weeks I have had a lot of trouble logging on to their website. I’ve not been able to read their latest update. When I call they say they are working on the problem but after a few days, no results.

I’m about to cancel my subscription. I hope I do not have the same problems as “ripped off” above.

I am sharing the same “password” problem to access their website. The susbcribers could have the choice between going to the website and receiving the new issues via email as pdf files…

To follow…

Hi Milo,

Is your “logging trouble” solved?

I didn’t get any support from Leeb’s services and, until now, I’m still unable to have access to the last issues.

I have been active investing with Real World Investing for 18 months. During that time I’ve bought when RWI say buy and sold when they say sell. I’ve weighted my purchases in $ and stocks toward the gold producers. Since my portfolio LOW in March 09 through October 2010 I have had numerous picks gain above 100% upwards to 160%, and a few that have lost money as well. As of the end of October my portfolio is up 148%.

I trust their research and see his forward thinking reflected in many other economic writings. I was well into owning 10,000 shares of NG around $5.25 well before Soros and Paulson bought their 35 million + shares.

Thanks RWI, I have my retirement back.

I subscribed to both his Complete Investor and his futures trading. Both were way caught short durning the 08 down turn. And have done terrible ever sense. I lost 60 %. Leeb likes to say that he was right on during the 08 down turn and that his investment pics were portentous. Not even close. His picks changed after the market dropped, hind sight is 20 20. This left investors following his advice caught short.

Bad investment advice. I will give you his story in a single sentence. Buy gold, oil, rare earth stocks. There you go. now you do not have to buy his news letter or deal with his bad customer service.
