I’ve found this newsletter very interesting to read. The arguments Justice (now Sara Nunally) makes do make sense. I do follow the logic and agree with them. However, the results have not necessarily followed. I had an initial 2 year subscription which wasn’t cheap. I didn’t follow all of the recommendation, but it sure seemed that the majority of the ones I put money into did not do well. Overall, I did not make money with this newsletter. I expected more given the price.
Not much to say about the content of the newsletter itself which I had a quick look over. That said I did not see anything earthshattering .
The service at ex Taipan now known as Insider Strategy Group has been curious. I signed up at a steep discount from their regular price. Once done I went to their web site and logged in and had a look around but since I did not have much time I planned on having a better look the next morning. Well I could not sign in the next morning so I contacted investor services and they informed me that they had no trace of my purchase despite the fact that I sent over their email confirmation as such. They wouldn’t budge and I took it as sign and thus did not bother trying to sign up again. Customer service was easily the worst I experienced in the newsletter business. I pretty much wrote off subscribing to any of their products.
Taipan had quite a revolving stable of writers over the years. Some, such as Justice Litle, and Sara Nunnaly have passed on some gems in their various writings. For example, a fragment of Ian Gordon’s “Lifetime Economic, Financial and Investment Map” is included in: http://www.insideinvestingdaily.com/articles/inside-investing-030912.html
