Penny Stocks by Peter Leeds ($195/yr) at http://www.pennystocks.com/ has been around many years. I was a one year subscriber 2003 to 2004, and just completed the free 2 week trial without subscribing this time. I invested in several of his picks, with 2 up and 1 down in value 2 weeks later.

He releases new picks at the rate of 6 to 9 per month. Most picks are over $1 and under $4. Once every 3 months he releases 10 “quick picks” under $1, with a little less information on each than his regular picks. For his regular picks, he recommends a buy price, short term target, and long term target. He has daily updates on some of previous picks as he sees the need.

He and his team accept no compensation for his picks, and do not own the stocks. No pump and dumps. The website has a lot of content, with some of it usefull and some not. He does educate on investing in this sector (under $5), and warns of the pitfalls. He also is available on Facebook, and will answer questions there.

I like this service, and may subscribe again in the future if I invest enough cash in the market to make it worth the cost. Right now I am just re-entering the market with $2500, and can’t afford the $195 hit for one year of service. If I get back up to over $5,000 and gaining (though gains and additional funds invested) I will likely subscribe again. Right now the bulk of my money is in Thrift Savings Plans (like 401Ks) and in a savings account.

I do recommend this newsletter/service if you want to try high risk smallcaps and can deal with a $195 per year fee.

pennystocks.com is no longer Peter Leeds? What happened? Did he sell or lose that domain?
