    Travis,

Thanks for sharing your humbling experiences in 2008. At least you have the courage to admit your mis-directed prognostications for the past year, unlike most of the more pricey and equally incorrect “forward looking prognosticators” (who, I might add, charge a whole lot more than you do). I, for one, enjoy your commentary and your ability to dig deep within the bowels of the machine to ferret out supposedly top secret investments. That’s why I joined the irregulars in the first place and that’s why I will remain an ardent supporter in the long run. Heck, no one could have predicted the tumultuous year that just ended nor the train wrecks along the way. Keep the thinkolator running and keep up the good work!

Here here Lauran – and goodonya Travis from Chris in Aus (West Aus to be exact, where we are hunkered down inside a darkened and shut up house, fans ablaze trying to ward off 40C heat! Let’s all make good in 2009 in every way we can.

I’d seriously consider doubling down on Seadrill if the fundamentals are as you say. The chart has good support at 54 Kroner. I’d try to buy it at 57 (about $8.45). Oil service stocks may be turning soon as the sector just became “favored”.
