    Thank you Travis,
    I really like this approach…
Apropos to your additional thoughts on “Cressud” etc…..I’d like to
add again, a recomendation that has drawn zero interest thus far, the time or two I’ve
presented it….That is “Brookfield Asset Management” (BAM)…..
    It’s real estate has helped pull it down…However, they are about to invest additional millions in Brazil;
Perhaps farmland….Do your homework of course…..BAM has been in Brazil 100 years according to them.
They are into timber, hydroelectric, wind farms..infrastructure….

I certainly agree that Sprott is innovative but occasionally stumbles. I understand that now it has in the neighborhood of 17 million shares of Timminco Ltd, the Canadian company that was going to revolutionize producing silicon panels, and has tanked. It is uncertain exactly at what price Sprott paid for them but the guess is about $6.00 a share and Timminco is below $2.00 and will continue to drop. In fact there is some question whether Timminco will be able to survive as it has been hit with a number of law suits.

hi travis, thanks. i personally am interested in the brazillian ag companies, Sadia and Perdigao.
they own huge tracts of land. plenty of whater, good weather, and they are the biggest meat processors
down there. Sadia was approached by Perdigao for a merger, and after the fiscal shambles last year
i think they don’t have much of a choice. also ‘ the real is going up when recovery comes.

Thanks for all of your hard work, Travis. Raising the caution flag on Black Earth Farming (BLERF) was also appreciated. This was a stock promoted a little more than a year ago by our old friend Andrew Mickey of Outstanding Investments. He recommended buying it at about $12.00 dollars a share back in February of 2008. Since that time, it has skidded down the slippery slope to as low as $1.90 (March of this year). It has recovered somewhat as of late. Have a great weekend!

SCP-T is a 2 out of 5 technicals positive. Penny stocks are so easy to manipulate that this may not mean a lot. Trendline is 2.25 Canadian so your risk is from 2.83 Canadian today. I suppose you could see if it can reverse down to the middle of the 10 week trading band at 2.625. Weekly momentum just turned positive and positive weekly trend usually lasts 8 – 10 weeks. You must be nimble on this one. The fall from grace last July went from 4.75 to 2.75 in a heartbeat.

    Travis,

This is a very interesting pick, and the kind I like because I believe investing into a variety of natural resources is a safer investment for the long term, especially the oil sands as this hedge fund does.

My question is, are you aware of any other publicly traded hedge funds that you like, preferably NYSE, or OTC, so I can set “stop limits”, because this last correction I was able to sell all my stocks before the big downturn.

As always Travis your analysis is best, and has saved me a lot of money by not buying a “screwy” newsletter and or stock!

    Best Regards,

    Cool Hand

Travis, have you ever looked at a site called INVETRICS.COM? They claim to have a very accurate prediction rate on what the dow and S&P will be doing. They also call the price of gold and silver. They are offering a 30 day trial for One dollar. What do you think?

I went into CRESUD several years ago thinking same thing- more people more food, went up some and now back down to close the where I got in. also invested same thought about PIO, PHO etc about water, no better than any other fund

There is another way to invest in farmland. Crowd funding real estate:
    https://americanfarminvestors.com/
    Harvest Returns
    FarmFundr
    AgFunder
    are just a few.
I have been doing some crowd funding real estate and joined (free) https://therealestatecrowdfundingreview.com/categories
review different platforms and rates risk. Info sharing very similar to gumshoe for equities
