Travis covered CLWR as late as 2010. Since then they have been on a downward trajectory. It would seem that the press coverage has been good with deals with Verizon and now China[1]. But still the stock goes down. Is the talk of bankruptcy or being severely under funded the problem? The stock is running $1.03 today what do you think of this 4G provider?

Been thinking of getting ClearWire service myself, but I’ve been holding off due to somewhat tepid user reviews. But it has recently been getting some high-profile plugs from folks like Clark Howard. If I had some convincing evidence that they will be around for a few more years and continue to grow and improve service, I’d be inclined to try them out.

    Thanks Howard.
It might have bottomed out. It has risen to and is holding at $1.04. Today despite market losses of a full point it closed at $1.04. Their debt still has me very concerned but I have read that it has it distributed over two and three year spreads. They have a considerable amount of reserve capacity they have not turned on yet. Unless there is new information this will be the high standard of performance. Verizon’s future really seems tied to the ability of this company to stay solvent, so can they afford to see them to fall into financial insolvency? The other option would be a buy out right? China Mobile bought 100,000 shares and that had to be a life line.
