We’ve recently added two new options trading services, Boring Fridays and Trade Mavens, to our growing library of investment publications and services for our readers to review. If you’ve ever used either of these services, please let us know what you think!

What is “Boring Fridays”? I click on every link, all the “read more”, and I go in an endless circle, the same pages again and again, and learn nothing. Ditto “Trade Maven”. If anyone else knows anything about either, he/she is more clever in navigating this site than I am.
We don’t know anything about it — someone asked us to put up an entry for them so that folks could submit reviews if they’d like to, but no subscriber reviews have yet been entered into the system. If anyone has tried them out, hopefully they’ll opine for you.
It looks like they have their trade record posted. From what I can tell, they sell far OTM credit spreads for .15 using weekly options on the OEX. Given what the average retail trader pays in commissions (even if they let their positions expire worthless), the vast majority of the credit would be needed to cover the trade costs.
In the interest of full disclosure, I lead a start-up options trading service – we’re launching at the end of Q4.
Sal, Anything more you can share about your options trading service? Thank you.
Pippy,
Thanks for your interest. We’re excited to be launching our new Iron Condor trading service officially on January 3. Our performance numbers and specific trades (from live trading this strategy for the past several years) are posted on our site – http://www.betterbetatrading.com.
I’d encourage you to sign up for our free email newsletter – it will qualify you for pre-launch pricing and a chance to win a free premium membership. Even if you’re just a casual options trader, I think you’ll find our blog posts to be helpful as you navigate the markets.
Best,
Sal
I am a member of Boring Fridays. There customer service the worst there is, no response when you email them
I would not recommended anyone use Boring Fridays option service. I was a member for two years and lost money from day one. They have a high percentage of correct trades. However the problem with that is the gains are small and the losses are enormous. My gains were about $200 a trade and losses were between $2000 and $5000. There strategy only works if they are correct 99.9% of the time and there track record is not close to that.
are you saying the results on their site is being faked?
