Hi Travis & fellow Irregulars
Does anyone here have a handle on the policy change impact going into the next 2 years? Any resource to recommend?
Here’s an example of gibberish:
Obamacare will maybe add 4% surtax on residential property transactions

Now this monkey on my back is getting a whole lot bigger
The direct impact is hard enough, but the indirect impact is where it is most useful.
For example if in this case home owners start tax loss harvesting, then the end of the financial year would be a better time to buy a unit; and January would be a better time to sell as the pent up demand is released.
Example #2 If the complexity moves beyond layman comprehension then companies such as H&R Block will be beneficiaries. However if the costs must come down since affordability is reduced due to the high unemployment then the bigger investment gains will come from the exposure to the outsource locations.
