Hi, Travis;
After the big spike today in the stock, is it a good buy?
I bought it mid-spike, so I was comfortable adding some more between $12 and $12.50 to add to my position — but I’ve bought several times over the years so my average cost is still under ten bucks. As I said above, I wouldn’t put on a huge holding all at once at this elevated price — assuming it’s caused by some newsletter or press coverage that I’m unaware of, such spikes tend to die back down over time. It could have been caused by something else, but there isn’t any “new news” that caused today’s 10% move upward — the more people who know about the story and about the Alderon potential the more Altius can grow over time and get the premium valuation they deserve, but it would be surprising if it was a straight line.
I was thinking about a nibble around the $10 range but had other stocks to grab…….managed to add a nice bit top my UUU stock before it spiked on the takeover news so I can’t complain.
I’ll keep my eyes open for another opportunity to pick it up.
Thx for the great intel, as usual!
Hello Travis, could you please confirm the ticker for Altius. Looking it up I found ATUSF, ALSTO and ALSVN. Which one are you referring to?
Thank you, the best thing i did this year is to join you on the irregulars for life. Just love your feed back and way of seeing things. Thanks once again
ALS is the symbol in Toronto, so I assume that’s the ALSTO — most print it as ALS.TO. ATUSF is the symbol for the pink sheets trading in the US. Same company, same shares, more liquidity in Toronto. Don’t know the other one.
Thank you
Frank Curzio recommended the stock last week, which coincided with the price spike
Ah, that would explain it — his colleague Ferris pitched it for Extreme Value a few years ago.
