    Travis did you get my options leap info while you where out of town , I still have interest in your thoughts on that long term oil is always of interest to me so if you can either way please make me aware if you care. The bank warrants have helped me pull the trigger on a couple other financial institutions since that warrant leap so to say thanks would be an under statement but that was brilliant help for the idea on a few of my other plays. No response is okay I just wanted to make sure you got the info on the leap option, I have no problem letting you know that it was legal info and where to get it.
    Thanks

    Hi Myron,
    thanks a lot for your thoughts and insights into the market. Still kind of new to this, but learning steadily as I move along and listen to Travis, you and others who share their valuable insights with us. Like what you are sharing with us. Also like SAND and others in that sector. What are your thoughts on SLW?
    Since I happen to live in Germany I have not had the chance of checking out those healthy and tasty drinks you mentioned. Like especially your ideas of REED,LK.V and ETF/EPHE and will investigate further.
    Great idea, Travis to bring on Myron. Adds to the Gumshoe experience. Thanks!!!

    Hi, Myron;
    I have read your comments with great interest in the past and am glad to learn a bit more of your background.
    I have a strongt interest in the stocks you follow, especially the precious metals.
    Perhaps, it is a canadian thing. Canuckleheads seem to like selling off our resources to the lowest bidder to the detriment of our own country (Alberta vs. Norway), but the resource sectors are the ones my family and I have worked in and understand the best.
    I enjoyed your commentary and look forward to more in the future.

    Thank you, John

    Great read Myron! Since you spend a decent amount of time on junior minors, I was curious if you have ever looked at RBY? If so, what are your thoughts on the company and their prospects? Thank you and look forward to future thoughts.

    Hi Myron:
    Thank you for sharing your experience, and your insights on investing in junior miners.
    Perhaps, because this is the first post, the post was too long (not that I minded reading), and covered a number of sectors.
    I look forward to reading your sector wise recommendations!

    Hi Myron,
    I appreciate the shout-outs of a few speculative high risk/high reward plays. Will appreciate if you can go deeper and profile a few of these (pros and cons) behind what you think is a good buy price and why (kinda like Travis does). Especially for some of your recent purchases. Perhaps two spotlight stocks monthly you purchased/plan on buying with deeper due diligence will be great?

    Ex: Energizer Resources – you mention that is a good price and that they have the second largest resource, will greatly appreciate some more on that. Especially as these firms have tiny market caps and info is hard to come by.

    Cheers!!!

    Hi Myron,
    Thank you for the really insightful comments herein, covering a lot of ground all of which (IMO) is relative. These are scary times for a lot of us. So tying the investment comments/ideas you offered us together with some more than relative world financial info. was very interesting for me.

    Hi Myron,

    Great start, good information but I also think there was both too much and too little information at times. I think focusing on 2 our even 3 stocks a month would greatly help my understanding and also price points would be good.

    I realize you were introducing yourself to us. Minersa and health food products are what you understand and what I DON’T understand much. I strongly believe in Gold as an investment and am curious about how the price has been/is manipulated, which you alluded to so will investigate the leads you’ve provided. In addition, the Fed is a sore subject too me as most people have NO IDEA IT’S A PRIVATE BANK HELD BY A HANDFUL OF FAMILIES (this dies not include my fellow Irregulars. Using “Federal Reserve” makes it, obviously, sound like a US Agency! Following their market manipulations in concert with the World Bank is helpful for investing but I must admit, I miss the nuances.

    Look forward to hearing more from you!

    I have enjoyed your comments in the past Myron . As I still hold remnants in my portfolio from the glory days of the TSX -V ( EZN , FVS, DML, AVL etc.) I really look forward to hearing more on junior miners, especially those in Canada. In particular ,a review of which rare earth companies may still be viable would be welcomed. Your thoughts on Sprott Nautural Resources ( I notice that Travis has it in his portfolio) and its recent run-up over 4.00 would also be appreciated.
    I think your articles will be a great addition to SG and will make a good service even better. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the months ahead!

    Myron,

    I really enjoyed your article. I’ve never had any exposure to precious metals in my portfolio, but your article encouraged me to do a little research. I don’t feel that I’m knowledgeable enough about mining to invest in junior stocks–nor do I have the time for research or patience to trade in some of the thinly traded companies that might be great opportunities.

    I appreciate the link you provided to Kings World News. I’ve never heard of that outlet before and it seems like a good source to access very high level opinions and speculation. It was very heavy on the precious metals news, and I do think that the recent pounding of gold and silver prices could yield a lucrative opportunity. I’m considering two option plays in SLV: purchasing near-the-money calls ($23-$25) with a strike date of JAN 14, or buying $30 calls with a strike date of JAN 15. I’d appreciate any insight you’re willing to give about the timing of such an option play. Right now I’m watching to see if the shares have bottomed out.

    I also wanted to thank you for your REED recommendation. I am not a fan of soft drinks because I think they’re harmful and I’ve never liked the tast of them. I see the potential in REED’s natural drinks, especially as consumers become more and more concerned about their health. I purchased a small position today (and may extend that position after the May 14th conference call).

    I look forward to reading your future posts!

    Interesting POV, Myron. I have been heavily invested for over 10 years in Mining, Energy, and Agriculture wherein I am currently holding 15 positions in Agric, 21 in Energy, 8 in Base metal mining, 18 in Precious metal mining Co, including wheatons. Since I am a Worden subscriber, I use both Technical analysis and fundamentals in deciding what to buy and usually only buy ones that are below 80% of their 52 week high. I wrote a simple EasyScan for Worden that lists the % of 52 wk high for every stock and use other EasyScans to locate items of interest. I also invest in a several miscelaneous categories but the majority is in the above cited areas.
    All my best,
    /* Phil */
