Really enjoy this feature!! Please keep it up.
Thanks

Travis, I think it’s a great idea to include Martin’s input to an awesome service you already provide. The results of the letter writer survey were interesting but not surprising,i.e., the fact that you headed the list. I have subscribed to a # of market letters over the year; from being a “fool” all the way back to Marty Zweig. Marty was phenomenal re. his call on the market, but his stock picks didn’t match his calls on the overall market. I consider your letter to be the “premier” of market letters! I get several emails a day from people teasing the next GOOG or AAPL and the sad part is that you have to read all of the dribble before you find out you can’t get the name unless you sign up for their $1,000-$3,000 subscription. I really appreciate your no BS, self effacing style. The Irregulars approach saves me considerable time and energy. I’ve taken some gas on some suggestions but we’re big girls and boys and we take those along with the gains.
Just wanted to add my inputs to the survey-outstanding job-keep it up!
Frank
What about ucore ucu.v in alaska? It’s a rare earth metal co. thanks
Dennis: UCORE is a leading company in the Rare Earth space, I hope to profile it soon as its metallurgy is superior to most in the space and interest in rare earths is reviving as much of our modern economy will not survive without available supply’s of HEAVY rare earths in particular. While I can not give you specific figures, I probably made more money in the rare earth sector in 09 – 10 than I did in precious metals as I was an early advocate.
One in particular comes to mind. I bought Rare Element Resources RES-V @ .55 in March of 09, got my money off the table on the way up to selling my final shares @ $14.55 on an intra day spike, (why I use “stink bids” both buying and selling) a price it never closed at since. In fact it is currently also worth considering again and is a good illustration of WHY small cap stocks offer far greater profit potential than more mature stocks, and the RISK is not as high as generally perceived by the market.
A few dozen like that over a couple of years can do some pretty nice things for any portfolio. YES I own Ucore and would happily buy more and likewise RES. (Sigh) There are simply too many companies I like that I do not have the capital to buy with available funds.
Thank you Travis for inviting Myron”s contribution. I hope you all continue this
Myron is a great addition to this site. Thank you!
I like this input too! If someone want to dip their toes in your different prefered areas(precious metals, uranium, gas Etc, which would be the prefered ONE stock from each sector at current prices? Asking that as the list, got well long after taking notes from this article!
BEN: I appreciate your dilemma in choosing but that is where “doing your homework” comes in. Any one pick may not be right for every portfolio, it has to be an individual choice that suits your PERSONAL investing style, risk tolerance, portfolio balance and size and many other factors which is why the SEC prohibits personal investment advice.
Keep reading and you will find my best stocks over time, and remember I cover a broad range with 15 sector portfolio’s with up to a dozen stocks each.
Hi Myron,
Do you have any silver stocks that you are watching or holding?
YES over a dozen and my next column will feature several so stay tuned.
I agree with Franklin. It’s an outstanding addition to your already fabulous service. But Travis, don’t let all this glowing praise go to your head and give you the idea that it’s time for a price increase. 🙂
Great addition! Ditto, ditto, ditto to all the above comments.
I’ve been an irregular only for about a month so have been reading past articles. This newsletter by Travis is the best one I’ve found so far. Myron’s contribution is a great addition to an already great newsletter. Thanks for all you do Travis!
Having a hard time keeping up with all the generous comments but hope to do better in future in responding to each one where required. It is always nice to be appreciated for what one does, and in this instance even nicer to be validated by a well established website called SUPER STOCK PICKER whose most recent press release puts a BUY on Lucara Diamonds LUC-V I profiled in my previous column.

Myron, what is your opinion of Balmoral Resources, Ltd. (BAR.V and BALMF) now? Looks like very undervalued.
You are absolutely right Steven, in fact I first mentioned it when it was at .31 suggesting it be put on a watch list to buy with stink bids to build a position and within a week or so it was already moving up smartly. I would like to hear from any subscriber who actually bought it under .40. It had actually reached a HIGH around 1.23 before market sentiment took the whole sector down. Let me emphasize; the drop in price had NOTHING to do with company fundamentals, in fact I consider it safe to buy up to .75 and I will probably raise that once the market turns positive for precious metals. I consider Darin Wagner and the Balmoral team to be in the top half dozen exploration teams in the business. They have very high grade assets, plenty of capital and an ideal and huge jurisdiction in one of the top greenstone belts in the world where Detour Gold, (which I also recommended) is now in production on a $10M oz.reserve. Give them 5 years and they might just duplicate, I have high hopes for the company even if development risks remain as they do for all explorers.
