Haven’t seen the latest pitch, but Apple-related teasers from the Fool have mostly been for American Tower (AMT) or Corning (GLW).
I have GLW and hoping for the best.
No details either and while Corning seems somewhat logical, I’d look for something related to the fingerprint ID technology expected to be a part of the new iPhone 5s. Don’t have any suggestions at the moment, but that’s where I’m looking.
(NXPI) Semiconductor just might be the newest Iphones and make the first major break in the much blethered about for seemingly over a decade, this Near Filed Communications Revolution, which our country is setting itself up for considering 93% of all DOLLARS are digital, and we’re making big strides to limit total physical dollars and turn them all into Ones and Zeros by even banks, for example, BAC, WILL NOT ACCEPT MORTGAGE PAYMENTS IN CASH, and a man in California was arrested for trying to do that and blew his top when he was told that he needed to have digital money to pay his $3200 mortgage…Anyway, I plan n buying weekly calls in NXPI as well as GLW, and I am also not opposed to buying a 2015 LEAP in NXPI before next Tuesday, meaning tomorrow. I also really like these LEAP plays for 2015 or if I wait until Oct, the JAN 2016 options will roll out. If SLW is still below $28 or anywhere under $30 for that matter, I’m going to get at least 2 dozen SLW JAN 2016 High $30-$MAX $40 Strike…. I’d do the exact same, with NUAN, except just buy 2-3 LEAPS there. Once Poland is in the EURO construct, I think think bank, Bank Pekao (PKSKF) will be a solid LT investment, as Poland will stregnthen the Euro and if the Euro lets Turkey in, they will have two STRONG additions to aid the hapless Germans in strengthening the Euro’s Currency. I also think NVEC, GE, DOW, ABB, WM, LNG , CBI, WPRT, SAND, CSCO, KGC, IAG, GG, SSRI, PAAS, FSM, SVM, CNOOG, IMPUY, CHK, MLRUY, eBAY, MAKO, STM, ETP, SLCA, BIDU, PETM, IBM, WAG, KMI, VOD, T, VZ, TDC, V, SWHC, PSMT, LNKD, MELI, CX, HAIN, YUM, BOBS, COST, BA, AVAV, PFE, ZTS, SRCL, ECL, BHP, SBUX, PETM, BAMXF, AGRO, GIS, KFT, POST, DF, KR, SQM, DDD, and SSYS. As far as other companies I think have great potential over the NEXT 500+ days and are thus JAN 2015 LEAPS are great buys include LNG, ARMH, KR, QCOM, RDS-B, COP, SYNA, RYT, JOY, CBI, CAT, TEVA-ALSO a 2016 LEAPER, which I may feel more comfortable with given how TEVA [2nd Largest generic Rx maker on Earth has been stuck at $40 for over an entire year, while the third largest Generic Rx Maker on Earth, Watson, formerly (WPI) and now Actavis (ACT) has gone up over 130% over the same time-period!,] SSYS, DASTY, SDRL, FB, PII, YNDX, COST, BX, WFC, CIB, JPM, ITUB, WEN, PZZA, PM, CELG, STO, … I won’t be initiating any of these calls until after SEPT 18, w the exception of NXPI and GLW, in an effort to get in on the new I-Phone release on the 10th… I expect to be able to get most of the aforementioned stocks at a 10-20% discount by late SEPT, if QE is in fact reduced, even if only by $10B or I’ve heard talk of 7.5B/month on the 18th. If not, then we KNOW the ‘TAPER’ is coming in October, around the tenth I think, and given the lousy jobs report as the last kernel of economic data being SO PATHETIC, I can envisage a delay and thus see the Taper take effect one year to the day that QE4Ever or whatever your moniker of choice, an Oct Taper would occur nearly exactly one year post the plans initiation and this plan, which has thoroughly FAILED to meet any of the criteria on which it based the reduction of a taper, namely U must be under 6.5%, it almost 1% higher, and the other salient number that had to be in a certain range, Inflation, was to not exceed 2%. However, if you subtract the underhanded machinations, based on obfuscation and subterfuge, the REAL inflation rate is about 9.8%. With Inflation coming, and a certain market hiccup coming holus bolus (all at once), this is situation where food/drug/ and VICE companies like GIS, KFT, POST, HAIN, BDBD, HRML, BWLD, BJRI, DEO, BF.B, BEAM, BUD, SAM, KO, PEP, MO, LO, RAI will all do well b/c their demand is highly inelastic, although, if tobaccos tax rate were THE SAME as alcohols, people would be going APE SHIT about the price of everything from Beer to Wine to any Spirit….
I apologize for the disorderliness of my recent post. I meant to first convey my NXP Semiconductor- (NXPI) is poised for a breakout over the next couple of years. NXP provides leading technology that is becoming the new “it” item in technology. NXPI has some of the best patents in the NFC technology space. NFC technology allows individuals to use their mobile devices to do everything from paying for their bill at a bar, to checking out a library book, to doubling as a state ID. NXP Semiconductor’s list of clients include Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Google (GOOG), and Samsung just to name a few. That is quite an impressive client list, all of which are leaders in the mobile technology space. Future valuations have NXP Semiconductor being grossly undervalued. NXPI trades with a Forward P/E of 8.47, a P/S of 1.71, and a PEG ratio of 0.38. “Experts” in the technology space are expecting Apple to unveil NFC technology in the new iPhone, which would mean that the two companies with the largest market share would be offering NFC technology. Retailers are also preparing for the move towards NFC friendly commerce. Wal-Mart (WMT), Target (T), 7-Eleven, Best Buy (BBY), Sears (SHLD), and other retailers have teamed together to form a company to provide NFC capabilities to their customers in store. With major retailers making such an aggressive move, it is hard to imagine that NFC technology won’t be a major driver for commerce in the future. Again, NXP Semiconductor is able to avoid the pitfalls of the adverse macroeconomic factors while being able to enjoy the benefits. If Apple does come out with NFC technology active in the new phone, I would expect NFC technology and NXP Semiconductor with it to soar. Analysts and MY CONSERVATIVE Price target by the end of 2014: $50.00. The 2016 LEAP companies is the first list of companies including NXPI, NVEC, GTI, GE, DOW, ABB, WM, LNG , CBI, WPRT, SAND, CSCO, KGC, IAG, GG, AEM, SSRI, PAAS, AG, FSM, SVM, CNOOG, IMPUY, CHK, MLRUY, eBAY, MAKO, STM, ETP, VE, PHO, ROC, ROK, WY, SLCA, BIDU, PETM, IBM, WAG, KMI, VOD, T, VZ, TDC, V, SWHC, PSMT, LNKD, MELI, CX, HAIN, YUM, BOBS, COST, BA, AVAV, PFE, ZTS, SRCL, ECL, BHP, SBUX, BAMXF, MMGGF, VTIFF, PRPCF, AKBIF, TRQ, FCX, AGRO, GIS, KFT, POST, DF, KR, SQM, DDD, and SSYS. That’s a LOT of expensive 2.3 Years till expiry LEAPS, but they represent companies that I think will be much stronger by then…. I also, obviously, think AMZN will be way over $400/share, maybe $500-$550/share by then….A Bull Call Spread would be the way to play that companies inevitable domination…
