On quick take box there is wrong symbol for Pulse Seismic (PSD) .
Oops, thank you. Fixed now.
Travis do you figure then that with what you expect to be more dim sales forecasts on the Wed conf call that the price will likely dip a bit more?
Hi Travis, who would be the big seismic player in east Africa where Tullow and Africa Oil are having so much success drilling? It seems like a growth region and they seem to have good data (or analysis).
Bill
Most of the time exploration companies don’t mention the name of the seismic contractor when they’re conducting seismic surveys, and I am not aware of anyone with a multi-client onshore seismic library in Kenya — the exploration may be too new still, though some may be building up that data. Seismic companies like to sell their services to an explorer when it’s in a new area where there’s a high risk that no one else will ever want the data, they like to do partnership/prefunding deals when there’s more optimism about the future exploration or production in that region — so maybe multi-client libraries will start to emerge in Kenya soon. There are some offshore multi-client libraries in Kenya and Tanzania and some of the other highly prospective areas where folks have been finding monster gas and oil deposits off both east and west Africa.
There are a lot of vendors who provide seismic services, including lots of smaller and/or nonpublic companies like CNPC BGP (a consortium of Chinese companies), Polaris (an extreme environment seismic explorer), and probably quite a few small “one truck” companies moving around Africa doing surveys under contract.
Whats your feeling about Saexplorations??
Read some interesting comment and Market Trend
has it as a ‘buy’
It is touted as an important seismic world class company??
Thanks GEORGE R
