buying MIL?

I bought some MFC Industrial (MIL) a while ago at around $8 , & I’m tempted to pick up some more now that it’s down to about $7.50. But I’m getting a bit spooked because virtually every analyst opinion I read is either sell or strong sell. Any irregular thoughts on whether this is a bargain, or am I following it down?

I’ve been wavering on that one personally as well — Dan Ferris had a pretty good presentation partially about MFC Industrial and argued that the shifting of book value writedowns and writeups should give them a “real” book value of about $10.50. Here are my notes from that day:
